Find something to watch
- Open Search and enter a video title or creator's name.
- Choose a video to watch, or open a creator's profile to see their videos.
- Choose Follow on a profile to add the creator to your Rin library. Their new videos appear in Subscriptions.
YouTube search is ready without a Google sign-in. To include Twitch results, connect Twitch in Settings → Sources.
Do I need an account?
You don't need a Rin account. Rin uses YouTube's signed-out search and player. Connecting Twitch is optional and uses Twitch's own sign-in.
Does Rin change my YouTube or Twitch subscriptions?
No. Following a creator in Rin adds them to your library on this iPhone. It does not subscribe or unsubscribe on YouTube, or follow or unfollow on Twitch.
If a creator has profiles on both platforms, those profiles can be kept together in Rin. You can choose a Preferred platform in the creator's Playback preference, or keep Use app preference.
Continue, Queue, and Catch Up
Continue holds videos you've started and haven't finished, with your watch progress saved.
Queue is the list you put together yourself. Use Add to Queue on a video, then open Queue to change the order or remove an item. Playback stops at the end of the list.
Catch Up is for watching through videos from one creator. Choose Play Catch Up on their creator page. You can view the list, adjust the timeframe in Catch Up Settings, or choose Stop for Now and return later.
Connecting and disconnecting Twitch
Open Settings → Sources → Connect Twitch and follow Twitch's sign-in steps. Rin keeps the connection credentials in your iPhone's Keychain, the system's secure credential store.
Disconnecting asks Twitch to revoke access before removing those credentials. Your Rin library is kept. If Twitch can't confirm the request, you can retry or choose to remove the connection from this device only. Removing it locally does not confirm that access was revoked at Twitch.
Where is my library saved?
Your creators, queue, preferences, watch progress, and hidden videos are stored on your iPhone. Rin keeps local recovery copies to help with damaged data. Those copies are on the same device; they are not a separate backup or cross-device sync.
What information leaves my phone?
Your searches and the information needed to load videos go to YouTube or Twitch. Their players may receive device information, cookies, playback activity, and advertising data under their own policies.
The TestFlight beta also sends limited usage and diagnostic data to Rin after an in-app notice. This sharing is required during the beta. The production App Store setting is off unless you opt in. The privacy page explains what is collected, how long it is kept, and the controls available.
Getting the app
Rin is currently an invited TestFlight Internal Beta for iPhone with iOS 26 or later. It is not yet a public App Store release. Contact support to ask about beta access or get help.
